Shopping local to support our small businesses
It’s extremely important that we do all we can to continue supporting our local small businesses after the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and Crosstown delays on Eglinton.
Here is a list of the local BIAs in the Ward that need your support more than ever. Please patronize our small businesses throughout Eglinton- Lawrence. We have wonderful street shopping on Upper Avenue and Marlee-Ville.
1. Yonge Lawrence Village BIA (Yonge St. from Yonge Blvd. to Lawrence)
2. Uptown Yonge BIA (Yonge St. from Roehampton to Glengrove)
3. The Eglinton Way BIA (Eglinton Ave. West between Oriole Parkway and Chaplin Crescent)
4. Upper Village BIA (Eglinton Avenue West between Bathurst Street and Strathearn Road)
5. York-Eglinton BIA (Eglinton Ave. West between Marlee and Dufferin, and along north side of Dufferin to Whitmore Ave.)
6. Fairbank Village BIA (Eglinton Ave. West, from Dufferin to Chamberlain Ave., and along Dufferin from Hunter Ave. to the CNR rail)

Shop local on Dufferin
Whether it’s experiencing the taste of Italy at Amico Bakery, or delicious fresh seafood at City Fish Market, only on Dufferin can you find a diverse range of meals from around the world. With many businesses such as DaRosa’s and Terra Nova, drive over to Dufferin to support local businesses in our home of Eglinton Lawrence.
March 3 is "Shop Eglinton Day"
On March 3, 2020, I held a press conference with Councillor Josh Matlow on March 3, 2020, at Jerusalem Restaurant, to announce this date as "Shop Eglinton Day".
Facing the difficulty of LRT construction on Eglinton and the challenges of the pandemic, it is crucial to support local businesses in the community with our Ward.
